Derin has over 20 years of experience in the 3rd sector, working in various capacities. For the past 12 years, he has served as a personal development expert and successful coach. Derin holds certificates in Life Coaching & NLP techniques, Assertion & Compassionate Communication skills, and a Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
With a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives, Derin possesses significant hands-on experience working with and empowering marginalized individuals who are hard to engage. As a people-centered person, he states, ‘I am passionate about and committed to coaching and mentoring as I understand its potential as a force for change.’
In 1995, Derin, a gifted multi-instrumentalist, founded a music academy with a vision to train and release people with no musical knowledge as budding musicians. The music academy pioneered numerous community-led initiatives in the areas of music and the arts.
Derin is a member of the Association for Coaching and the International Coach Federation. He has successfully supported individuals and teams in creating a powerful vision for their future and developing the confidence needed to reach their full potential.
